Sketches of the painting "West Parish Church from the Children's garden pagoda"
I recently completed a new studio painting, a view of the West Parish Church from the Children's garden pagoda in Andover, Massachusetts. I was awe struck by the tall white steeple. The light shining on it what so bright and pure.
I wanted to share with you some sketches done on location.

My inspiration for this painting was the West Parish Church in Andover, MA. I visit the Children's garden and the West Parish garden cemetery occasionally. This time, I was sitting in the lovely shade of the pagoda. The light shining on the tall white steeple captured my attention. It was very bright and beautiful. I felt a sense of peace and grandeur at the same time. I observed the architecture for a while and then began to sketch the details.
